Meet Olga De La Torre!
As CHC’s Intake Coordinator, Olga is often the first voice clients hear when they reach out for help. For the past 4 years, she has been providing reassurance and support to individuals and families facing some of life’s most challenging situations.
One of Olga’s favorite parts of her role is helping clients who feel overwhelmed and uncertain about their housing situation. She reminds them to take a deep breath, reassures them that they have come to the right place, and lets them know they are not alone.
What motivates Olga every day is the opportunity to help people during stressful times and connect them with the resources they need. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and friends, creating meaningful memories together. She also loves coffee, matcha, attending church, and capturing life’s little moments through photography.

Buying a home can feel overwhelming right now… and honestly, a lot of people are carrying that pressure quietly.
Between prices, saving for a down payment, figuring out qualifications, and hearing everyone else talk like they have it all figured out… it’s easy to feel stuck before you even start.
But preparation changes things. Education changes things. Having someone help you understand your options changes things.
That is what the Community Housing Council of Fresno (CHC) is here for. CHC offers homebuyer education, housing counseling, and support to help you move forward with more confidence, not more confusion.
If homeownership is something you’ve been thinking about, start with one conversation instead of carrying all the questions alone.
Visit CHC or reach out to learn more about upcoming classes and housing resources.

If you’re using down payment assistance, there’s a reason they ask you to take a homebuyer class 👇
Programs like CalHFA aren’t just handing out funds, they’re investing in YOU. And they want to make sure you’re fully prepared, not just approved.
When you sit down with a HUD-certified counselor, it gets real. You go over your income, budget, credit, and what you can actually afford. No guessing, no surprises. Just a clear plan that sets you up for success long after you get the keys.
Because buying a home is one thing. Keeping it and thriving in it is the goal.
If you’re thinking about buying and want to do it the right way, start here. Reach out and we’ll help point you in the right direction 🤝
