The Gastonia Department of Social Services was proud to be part of a community safety event dedicated to helping families keep their children safe every day.

Our team shared information on safe sleep practices for infants and water safety, while our incredible community partners provided hands-on education and resources on:
🚗 Proper car seat installation and safety
✅ Free car seat checks to ensure children are riding safely
🚲 Bike safety tips and helmet education
👶 Safe sleep best practices
🌊 Water safety and drowning prevention

Events like these remind us that a few simple conversations and safety checks can make a lasting impact. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and took home valuable information to help protect the children in our community.
