Shavette, our Fire Team Social Worker, has been recognized this month for her compassion, dedication, and commitment to supporting our participants during difficult times.

She consistently goes above and beyond—whether it’s helping a participant navigate an emergency housing situation, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in their new environment, or checking in on their well-being outside of normal work hours. Her willingness to provide support when it’s needed most, including bringing a participant a meal on her day off, reflects the genuine care and second-mile service she brings to her role every day. In addition to her dedication to participants, Shavette is always willing to step in and assist her teammates whenever help is needed.

Thank you, Shavette, for your kindness, selflessness, and the incredible impact you make on the lives of our participants and team members each day! 💙

A Meaningful First Memorial Service at Senior TLC West 🤍

Recently, we held our very first memorial service at our Shelby location, Senior TLC West—a special time to honor and remember the participants we have lost with their families, while celebrating the love, laughter, and memories they shared with us.

We came together to reflect, remember, and support one another through both grief and gratitude. At Senior TLC, those in our care become part of our family, and their lives continue to leave a lasting impact on all of us.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this meaningful service possible. A special thank you to Daniel Rushing, our Chaplain, for coordinating and leading the service. 💙

🐴💛 A Special Visitor at Senior TLC – Gastonia! 💛🐴

We recently enjoyed a wonderful visit from Soleil the Mini Horse, and she brought so many smiles, laughs, and joyful moments to everyone she met! 🌟

Animal visits like these can brighten spirits, encourage connection, and make the day extra special. We loved spending time with Soleil and are so thankful for the happiness she shared with our Senior TLC family. 💕

This is a friendly reminder that Senior TLC’s social centers will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Our on-call nurse will be available for emergencies and can be reached at 704-874-0600 (press option 1).

Hours of operation will resume as normal Tuesday, May 26th.
