V4A TAKES THE MOUND

What an honor! Vitendo4Africa was recognized on the field at Busch Stadium during the St. Louis Cardinals game!

From community work to the big leagues — we’re proud to represent immigrant and refugee families in STL. This moment was for every youth, parent, and elder who makes our community strong.

Thank you to the St. Louis Cardinals for celebrating our mission and giving us a platform to share UBUNTU with the city.

When our community shows up, St. Louis notices.

YOUTH LEADING THE WAY: This Saturday at the Community Safety Fair, our V4A youth in the Traction Teen Traffic Safety Program stepped up and spoke out!

Our youth leaders had the incredible opportunity to share their road safety and mental health campaign directly with St. Louis Mayor Clara Spencer

From distracted driving to checking on your friends, these young advocates are proving that change starts with us. They’re not just the future — they’re leading right now.

We’re so proud of their courage, preparation, and heart for the community. Thank you Talisa Jackson-Ivy for your great coordination.

Thank you Mayor Cara Spencer for listening and championing youth voices!

Happy Father’s Day to every dad, uncle, coach, mentor, and father figure in our community!

There’s an African proverb that says, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Thank you for BEING that village.

Thank you for showing up on soccer fields, around campfires, at chess boards, and in quiet one-on-one moments of mentorship. Thank you for driving to practices, tying cleats, teaching life lessons, and reminding our kids: “You cannot become what you cannot see.”

Your support fuels our children and youth programs, and your presence changes lives. We see you. We honor you. We’re grateful for you.

Happy Father’s Day!

THANK YOU to everyone who made the Community Safety Fair a success!
We appreciate great mpartnership and collaboration with Better Family Life, Inc. Trailnet Affinia Healthcare PreventEd ,and the Office of Violence Prevention. Your input, resources, and heart made a real impact for families in our community.

Huge shoutout to the V4A Traction Teen Traffic Safety Program Team and our partners at the Missouri Department of Transportation for leading the charge on road safety awareness. Together, we’re bringing life-saving education to schools and neighborhoods across the greater St. Louis community.

To every family, volunteer, first responder, and community member who showed up — you proved that safe communities happen when we all take part.

From bike and helmet checks to pedestrian safety to powerful conversations on Buckle Up Phone Down, from mental health and substance use awareness, today was about protecting what matters most: each other.

We’re just getting started. Stay safe, St. Louis.

Give it up for Elizabeth Anyimadu!

Elizabeth, your words at our Community Graduation Dinner reminded us all that you cannot become what you cannot see. You showed every 7th–12th grader in that room what’s possible.

Next stop: Washington University in St. Louis on a FULL RIDE! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to watch you break records there, just like you did here.

Thank you for being a positive influence and a role model for the next generation. Your race is just getting started.

A huge THANK YOU to our keynote speaker, Dr. Anne Muhoro Steward, for pouring into the Class of 2026 last night!
Your powerful message on the importance of positive influence reminded us that "You cannot become what you cannot see." You inspired our students to dream bigger, break barriers, and set new records in their own lives.
As an immigrant woman in STEM, an entrepreneur, founder of Dr. Anne Steward DMD Family Dentistry, AppointlyNow Tech company and a dedicated mentor, you are a shining example of the talent, resilience, and leadership that immigrants bring to our region. Your journey is proof that with hard work, determination, and community support, anything is possible.
Thank you for sharing your story, your wisdom, and your heart with us. You are making lasting impacts on our students and our community, and we are better because of your leadership and example.
Thank you for believing in the next generation and helping them see what is possible
