With Fourth of July just around the corner, the City of Hemet would like to remind the community that all fireworks are illegal within Hemet city limits. This includes the possession, sale, use, or distribution of any fireworks.
Illegal fireworks are dangerous and create serious risks to the safety of the community.

Violations may result in:
• $1,000 fines per violation
• Possible misdemeanor charges
• Citations issued to property owners, regardless of who ignited the fireworks

The Hemet Police Department, Hemet Fire Department, and Hemet Code Enforcement will be collaborating during the Independence holiday weekend to strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy of all fireworks.
Residents are encouraged to report illegal fireworks through the following non-emergency channels:
Phone: (951) 765-3827
Email: [email protected]

The City of Hemet thanks the community for helping keep neighborhoods safe and encourages everyone to celebrate responsibly.

They may be officers, supervisors, and public servants but their favorite title is Dad.

Today we celebrate the fathers of our department and the impact they make both in our community and at home. Happy Father’s Day!
