Labor unions are here picketing at Delaney Hall demanding the closure of Delaney Hall, striking detainee demands, and that Gov. Sherrill calls off state police on protestors

The truth about Delaney Hall last night. Mikie Sherrill’s press conference was a wildly inaccurate representation and we wanted to set the record straight. The state police have only escalated the brutalization of protestors. The attack on New Jersey residents should cost the governor a second term.

Their demands:
1. Governor Mikie Sherrill may enter the facility and meet in-person w/ detainees.
2. Immediately release medically vulnerable detainees as well as the young and elderly.
3. FREE THEM ALL! Strikers are not striking for ‘better’ conditions and treatment. They are doing so to demand their FREEDOM. 🦋

Last Friday, a hunger and labor strike began inside Delaney Hall and comrades went to stand in solidarity with the strikers outside. Keep up the pressure on DHS to meet their demands!
