Whether you’re a weekend hobbyist or a seasoned Part 107-certified drone pilot, it’s critical to understand the current flight restrictions surrounding the FIFA World Cup.

Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) and enhanced security measures will be in place, and violations can carry serious consequences. Flying a drone in a restricted area could result in your aircraft being seized, significant fines, and even the suspension or revocation of your Part 107 certificate.

Before every flight, check for current airspace restrictions and make sure you’re operating legally and safely. A few minutes of preparation can prevent costly mistakes.

After crossing the finish line of the grueling Arizona Monster 300 Super Race in April, Captain Simpson has done it again! This morning at 4:30 a.m., he completed the legendary Tahoe 200 Endurance Run.

Covering 200 miles through rugged mountain terrain, extreme elevation changes, and countless hours of physical and mental challenges, the Tahoe 200 is considered one of the toughest ultramarathons in the world. Finishing this race requires extraordinary determination, resilience, and perseverance.

Captain Simpson continues to demonstrate the same commitment, grit, and dedication that he brings to serving our community every day. His accomplishment is an inspiration to all of us and a testament to what can be achieved through hard work and unwavering determination.

Congratulations, Captain Simpson, on another remarkable achievement. We are proud to have you representing the Little York Fire Department both on and off duty!

Please join us in congratulating Captain Agustin Martinez on an outstanding performance at the Team FD Qualifying Night at HMP The Oval Track!

Captain Martinez raced his way to a 1st Place finish in his qualifying heat and secured 3rd Place Overall against firefighters from departments across the region. His determination, focus, and competitive spirit were on full display as he represented the Little York Fire Department with pride.

Whether responding to emergencies, strapping in child safety seats, or buckling into a race car, Captain Martinez continues to demonstrate the dedication and excellence that define our organization.

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day from LYFD!

Today, we honor the Stars and Stripes as a symbol of our nation's freedom, unity, and resilience. We proudly stand beneath its colors and remain committed to serving with courage, integrity, and dedication.

A heartfelt thank you to H-E-B for their generous $500 gift card donation in support of the Little York Fire Department's “Fruit for Firefighters” initiative.

The idea originated from our Accounts Payable Coordinator, Delia DaSilva, who recognized the importance of providing our firefighters with healthy, nutritious snack options during the demanding summer months. Her vision was simple: ensure our crews have access to fresh fruit that not only serves as a healthy snack but also helps fuel them while serving our community.

Today, Mrs. DaSilva joined Engine 82 to visit H-E-B and select a variety of fresh produce for our fire stations. During their visit, they had the opportunity to personally thank the store's leadership team for their support of this program.

Fire Chief Richardson shared, *"A great idea can come from anyone at any level. We are a family, and everyone brings value to this department. Delia brought forward a suggestion, and we are incredibly grateful for H-E-B's support in helping turn that idea into reality."*
