🚨🚨🚨 PSA ABOUT FOODSTAMPS 🚨🚨🚨

If you are a snap recipient and you have a redetermination or a simplified report coming up, do yourself a favor and have all paperwork to any changes that you report on hand. The new determination process taking place will take anywhere from one to three months without you even being contacted from the worker. All workers are still learning the system, and they are also still trying to debug it. So now when you do your phone interview with your worker, everyone listed on your application will have to be individually screened to make sure they are legal us citizens. After reviewing everything, the worker will then tell you what paperwork they’re requesting. Once sent in, the fraud department begins their investigation. Be mindful because anything you send in for example check stubs, leases, bills, etc will be checked for its legitimacy. After the fraud team screens it, it is then sent back to the worker to be processed. Having everything before hand is not going to speed up the fraud department but it will cut down the time of having to get it and send it back in. If no changes have been reported, then it’s just a waiting game but it’s nothing the workers can do until it’s back in their system and ok to process.
