In observance of Juneteenth, Housing Alliance HTX offices will be closed at 12pm, Thursday, June 18 and full day, Friday, June 19.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time to reflect on our nation’s history while celebrating freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of opportunity for all.

Our offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22.

As we honor this important day, Housing Alliance HTX remains committed to opening doors, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for the people we serve.

🚨 PUBLIC HOUSING WAITLISTS OPEN JUNE 22 – JULY 6 🚨

Housing Alliance HTX will open waitlists for 8 public housing properties from June 22 - July 6.

Before you can apply, you must create a personal profile in Rent Café.

✅ Visit alliancehtx.org/rent-cafe-access to learn more and create your profile.
✅ Call 713-260-0500 if you need assistance.
✅ Return to your Rent Café account between June 22 and July 6 to apply for up to three waitlists.

⚠️ Important: Creating a Rent Café profile does not place you on a waitlist. You must log back in and submit your application during the open application period.

In observance of Memorial Day, the main office will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

Thank you to everyone who joined our Resident Listening Session with Housing Alliance HTX, HUD & ICF!
 
Together, we created space for residents to share their experiences, challenges, and ideas around jobs, training, and small business opportunities. From interactive polls to group discussions, your voices highlighted the need for more accessible resources, supportive services, and clear pathways to opportunity.
 
We also explored how Section 3 connects residents to jobs, training, and contracting opportunities—and wrapped up by connecting attendees directly with local resources and partners.
 
Your input matters and will help shape stronger, more responsive programs for our community.

This special event recognized our Q1 employee birthdays, honored team members who successfully completed their trainings/certifications, and celebrated excellence with our Quarterly Alliance Award winner, Darrick Bonner. 👏
