Thanks to volunteers from the Junior League of Houston, nine of our children were presented with Lifebooks in May! 📔💛 These meaningful keepsakes were crafted with care to celebrate each child’s journey with heartfelt details, milestones and cherished memories.

We are thrilled to honor Cinda and Jeff Lack at this year’s Pull for Kids Classic! 🎉✨ For nearly 25 years, Cinda and Jeff have been dedicated champions of Child Advocates. It all began when Cinda was assigned to the organization through the Junior League of Houston, where she created Lifebooks for our children. These books, crafted individually for each child, tell their childhood story with pictures, milestones and cherished memories. Cinda eventually became an advocate and spoke up for the children on her two cases. Starting in 2012, Jeff was an active member of the Board of Directors and Marketing Committee. Since then, they have supported initiatives such as Santa’s Wish List, Heroes Society Annual Fund and the Pull for Kids Classic. Together, they have been steadfast supporters of the mission, and we are excited to honor the impact they have made.

For children who have experienced uncertainty, knowing someone will show up can mean everything. Recently, one advocate attended a girl’s choir concert, while another spent time listening as a child shared her excitement for summer break. It’s moments like these that build the trust and connection children need as they navigate the foster care system. 🦋☀️

We are proud to celebrate Lexie Benson as our Volunteer of the Month! ⭐️ Since becoming an advocate in 2020, Lexie has shown incredible dedication to every child she has been assigned to. Her advocacy is bringing hope and healing to children in foster care, and we are so grateful for her.

Our advocate family keeps growing! 👏 Last week, 18 new volunteer advocates completed training and were sworn in by Judge Eric Andell. We are so grateful for their commitment to standing up for foster children and making a lasting difference in our community.
