Join Jurassic James for an exciting, high-energy dinosaur adventure! Through storytelling, movement, and interactive fun, participants will learn about dinosaurs and the prehistoric world.

This program is for families with children of all ages.

We are unable to accommodate daycares and school groups in this program.

The Mission Bend Branch Library will be closed Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, in recognition of the Juneteenth holiday. We will reopen with regular hours on Monday June 22.

Learn the basics of word processing using Microsoft Word 2016 on June 25 at 3pm in the Computer Lab. This class will cover inputting text, customizing text appearance, saving and reopening a document, and checking for errors.

Learn the basics of 3D printing by creating your very own design to print! We are having two workshops -- one on June 22 and one on July 20, from 2:30-4 pm, in the Mission Bend Branch Library Computer Lab! Using Tinkercad, participants will see the ins and outs of designing creations for the 3D printer. Please note, having a Tinkercad account already set up is strongly encouraged, but not necessary.

This animated family adventure/comedy, released in 2002, takes place 20,000 years ago, when the Earth was being overrun by glaciers, and animals were scurrying to save themselves from an impending Ice Age. When a lost human infant is discovered, a trio of sub-zero misfits – a depressed woolly mammoth, a fast-talking sloth, and a devilish saber-tooth tiger -- team up and brave deadly elements to return the child to its tribe. Join us on Thursday, June 11, at 3:00 pm, for our "All About Alligators" program, presented by Brazos Bend State Park.

Learn all about alligators in this engaging and interactive presentation! Families with children of all ages will discover fascinating facts about these amazing reptiles, including their habitats, behaviors, and unique features.

We are unable to accommodate daycares and school groups in this program.

Come get crafty by making a mini terrarium to bring some green into your space. We will build them on June 15, from 3-4 pm, in the Conference Room. This program is free to attend. This program is for students in grades 9 through 12.

Learn to create art with sand! 🎨

Join us on Tuesday, June 9, at 2:30 pm, for our Sand Art program, presented by Young Audiences of Houston.

Participants will explore different ways to use sand to create temporary artwork while demonstrating creative expression, cultural awareness, and critical-thinking skills. For grades 4-8. Registration is required.
