Thank you to everyone who joined us for our June Ladies in Action Luncheon at Spanish Flowers Mexican Restaurant- Main St.!
We were honored to welcome Lara Coursey, Founder and Director of Freedom Collaborative, for an important and eye-opening discussion on human trafficking awareness in Houston as our city prepares to host FIFA World Cup events.
Attendees gained valuable insight into the realities of human trafficking, warning signs to watch for, common misconceptions, and ways individuals and businesses can help protect vulnerable members of our community. Beyond networking and fellowship, this luncheon provided an opportunity to learn how we can all play a role in creating a safer and more informed community.
A special thank you to Lara Coursey, Freedom Collaborative, Spanish Flowers, and everyone who attended and contributed to such a meaningful conversation. We appreciate your commitment to education, awareness, and community engagement.

A 401(k) is a great start, but you can continue building from there!
Opening an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) with Members Trust FCU on top of your employer plan can help you build additional retirement savings while giving you valuable tax advantages.
Here’s why many people choose to add an IRA alongside their 401(k):
✅ More retirement savings opportunities: IRAs allow you to save beyond your employer-sponsored plan limits.
✅ Potential tax benefits:
• Traditional IRAs may offer tax-deductible contributions.
• Roth IRAs grow tax-free, and qualified withdrawals in retirement are tax-free too.
✅ Retirement security that stays with you: Your IRA stays yours if you change jobs or retire.
Check out the retirement accounts Members Trust FCU has to offer at the link below. Remember that our team is always here to help you understand your options.
