We are proud to recognize and thank our outgoing board members Lonnie Knowles, Dave Donat, and Cope Bailey for their extraordinary 10 years of service from 2016 to 2026.
Their dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on our organization. From guiding important decisions to supporting our mission every step of the way, their contributions have truly shaped who we are today. Level up! It's time to get gaming. Don't forget to register for our Accessible Gaming Teen Camp next week, starting June 22nd. Campers will get hands-on experience with accessible games, as well as enjoy a presentation from the Texas Workforce Commission.
With school out and summer right around the corner, The Lighthouse of Houston is excited to announce our Youth Specialty Camps, all designed for blind and low vision youth and their siblings.
Camps take place Monday through Wednesday, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Camp fees are $10 per week, and financial assistance is available.
Running from June through July, our camps offer something for everyone. Whether performing on the stage, going mad with science during STEAM week, leveling up with accessible video games, learning about podcasting, hitting the field for sports, or learning essential life skills in our Shine & Dine camp, we have it all!
Each camp is crafted to help youth learn, grow, and gain confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment, all while having an absolute blast. Spots fill up fast, so now’s the time to check out the full schedule and register for a summer of discovery, creativity, and fun!
