Announcing Our 2026 Good Neighbor of the Year!
We are so proud to recognize Tracy Colbeth — a Hugo resident for 22 years and a true testament to the power of community spirit.
Tracy is a proud member of the Hugo Legion's Women's Auxiliary. She'll tell you she doesn't have a hobby, but we'd beg to differ — her hobby is giving back. Tracy fundraises tirelessly for the Hugo Legion, Hugo Fire Department, Hugo Good Neighbor Food Shelf, and the Forest Lake Police Department.
She also owns her own Scentsy business, and in true Tracy fashion, she takes it one step further: she purchases stuffed animals, infuses them with calming scents, and donates them to the Hugo Fire Department — a small comfort for children facing some of life's hardest moments.
Tracy, your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness don't just make Hugo a better place — they change lives. Congratulations!

Washington County is collecting used school supplies for a school supply swap on Wednesday, August 5. Drop-off donations now through August 1 at the Washington County Environmental Center in Forest Lake or Woodbury during open hours. Donations should be gently used items that students would normally discard at the end of the school year.
