The State finally listened - after years of pleas by Eaton’s Neck and Asharoken residents, and by my colleagues in government and me about the perilous conditions the 2,000+ Eaton’s Neck and Asharoken residents are under, the deteriorated Asharoken Seawall will be rebuilt!!!

In observance of Juneteenth, our district office is closed today. We will reopen and resume regular business hours on Monday, June 22.

Last week, I was happy to join some of my newer colleagues at the Legislature, Legislators RJ Renna and Sal Formica, for a tour of the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum.

This historic estate, once home to William K. Vanderbilt II, is now a treasured destination that continues to educate and inspire visitors of all ages.

It was a beautiful day in Northport celebrating Northport Maritime Day & the Blessing of the Fleet. Today was all about honoring Northport’s maritime past, present, and future. The parade featured vessels from the U.S. Coast Guard, local yacht clubs, and other maritime organizations, including the USCGC Nathan Bruckenthal, named in honor of Northport native Nathan “Nate” Bruckenthal, who gave his life in service during the Iraq War.

After the Blessing of the Fleet, I enjoyed spending time at the Farmers Market with my daughter and our doxies, Teddy & Penny. Today was truly a wonderful day celebrating community, tradition, and Northport’s rich maritime heritage.

Yesterday, I was happy to have Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County at Paumanack Village to educate residents about container gardening. A special thank you to Master Gardeners, Nancy Dickey and Hope Kranidis, for sharing their helpful expertise and tips! 🪴👩🏼‍🌾
