π¨ During World Elder Abuse Awareness Month, help stop imposter scams before they happen.
Scammers often pretend to be government agencies, banks, tech support companies, or other trusted organizations to steal money, personal information, or access to financial accounts. Their tactics may change, but the message remains the same:
β Never send money to someone you don't know.
β Never share personal or banking information with unexpected callers.
β Never trust pressure tactics that demand immediate action.
The Council on Aging β Southern California's Senior Protection Program (SPP) is proud to support the Elder Justice Coordinating Council's new Never EVER campaign, helping older adults, caregivers, and families recognize the warning signs of fraud and financial exploitation.
