In celebration of freedom day, we share photos of our inspiring MBSK students taking part in the District 29 MBSK Black Excellence Juneteenth Celebration last week! Thank you to Ms. Merle and Ms. Rowe for continuing the program and accompanying our students on these incredible experiences.

Thank you to our 4th Grade Families who attended the 268 workshops to activate their child’s NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program account! We were able to connect with families with three in-person sessions yesterday. Supports were in place from our PTA president, parent volunteers, parent coordinator, school aides, paraprofessionals, teachers, and other parents who have activated their account! Together we can make college and career training more accessible and achievable for public school students!

🏆FIRST IN MATH CHAMPIONS!🏆
After participating in a virtual First in Math competition earlier this year, these three students placed for the state championships. They traveled to Albany and competed as a team and took home FIRST PLACE for grade 7&8 division!

We are so proud of their dedication, hard work and accomplishments! Congratulations to Travis, Swapnil, and Juhura, you are most definitely FIRST in math to all of us at PS/IS 268 and now the state!🥇Thank you to Mr. Robertson and Ms. Letford for supporting our mathematicians in the classroom and Ms. Letford again for accompanying them for this incredible experience. Throughout the year, we have been able to host incredible events for our families and students with the help of NYU partnerships: a wellness event, a cookie decorating day, and a free food pantry! Join us for the end-of-year event!
