🌱🍅 A Garden Grows Stronger Through Community! 🍉🌻

📣A huge THANK YOU to Pete Burgenson and Ron Tanner from the Cerbat Community Garden Club! They have been spending their time, talents, and hard work helping improve the Cerbat Elementary School Garden over the summer while students are on break!

Their efforts will help conserve water, strengthen plant growth, and keep our garden flourishing through the summer heat.

As you can see from the photos, the garden is already showing the results of their labor—watermelons are growing, tomatoes are developing, squash is producing, sunflowers are stretching toward the sky, and our new elevated garden beds are ready to support even more learning opportunities for our students.

Because of Pete and Ron's dedication, Cerbat students will enjoy some really good fruits of their labor. 🍉🍅🥒🌻

☀️ Summer learning is in full swing at KUSD! 📚✨

Our dedicated staff are spending part of their summer participating in professional development opportunities that help them better serve our students. Recently, staff members attended the AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) training 🗣️💙 to strengthen their ability to support our non-verbal students in developing communication and language skills.

We are proud of our educators' commitment to continuous learning, growth, and ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed! 🌟🎓🙌

*For any returning students: Parents/Guardians - it is that time of the year for you to complete and update your yearly digital registration through ParentVue.
Please make sure all of your information is up to date and correct for the upcoming school year.

A long journey home: KUSD says goodbye to two Filipino teachers Two teachers are planning to make their journey home to the Philippines this summer after serving at KUSD for five years as Special Education Teachers through a teacher exchange program.
