PARKING FOR JULY 3: The City's July 3 Independence Celebration is right around the corner! We are excited for this annual event and plans are being finalized. Please note that this year, no RVs will be allowed on La Mirada streets. We understand Foster Road is a popular street to park RVs, but RVs left on the street will be towed. Additionally, RVs that do not fit in the 20' parking spaces will not be allowed in the La Mirada Regional Park parking lot. Please plan accordingly. These parking modifications are intended to enhance safety and traffic circulation.

Every year, the City receives numerous complaints regarding fireworks not deemed "safe and sane". The use of these illegal fireworks is dangerous and a public nuisance. This year, the City is partnering with Flying Lion Inc. to use drones equipped with night vision and optical zoom to detect illegal fireworks on several nights leading up to July 4. These drones will monitor activity at night and gather evidence so that the City can issue $1,000 citations to those involved.

Today, after many months of outreach, the La Mirada Homeless Outreach Liaison Team, in partnership with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, successfully connected an unhoused woman with services. She has been placed in housing where she will receive addiction and mental health support. We thank all those involved who helped get her the resources and services she needs.
