This is my official government page for my office as Nevada State Assemblywoman for District 10.

06/16/2026

I’m STILL seeking a passionate community leader from Senate District 3 to nominate to the Nevada Silver Haired Legislative Forum.

This role and this group is allocated a Bill Draft Request and helps shape state policy on critical issues like health care access, housing, public safety, and economic security, bringing real community insight directly into the legislative process.

If you’re an engaged Nevadan who cares about advocacy, collaboration, and making a difference, I’d love to hear from you.

Reach out to me directly for more information or tag someone in the comments who would be an incredible voice for our community.

Our last stop was with Sasi Phothidokmai, of Weera Thai.

Sasi and her family carried forward a culinary legacy their parents built in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 1978. They brought it to Las Vegas in 2010 and grew it into five thriving Southern Nevada locations. That’s not just a business success story. That’s a family betting on this community and winning.

Governor Beshear wrapped up the tour with Sasi talking workforce recovery, scaling a family brand, and what it takes to build something that lasts. The answer, every time, is people. Families. Stories passed down across generations and across oceans.

This corridor is proof. And it deserves every federal dollar we can fight for.

Stop # 2 on our Foodie tour: China Mama

GM Alex Lin told Governor Beshear that China Mama is now a beloved anchor of this corridor, drawing locals, tourists, and off-duty Strip chefs alike.

The Clark County Corridor Improvement Grant Program is helping businesses like China Mama upgrade storefronts, lighting, and signage. But the bigger transformation — traffic calming, pedestrian refuges, median green spaces — requires federal partnership.

That’s exactly why we brought Governor Governor Andy Beshear here.

Then we crossed the street — literally — using the newly installed mid-block crosswalk that Clark County just put in as part of the Inspiring Spring Mountain plan. That crosswalk is a case study in why federal infrastructure investment matters. Safer streets = more foot traffic = Economic development

Small details. Massive impact.

Our first stop was Ichiza at GC Plaza, where owner Maho Sugai has been bringing authentic Japanese izakaya culture to Las Vegas Chinatown for over 25 years.

Originally from Japan, Maho built Ichiza into a true neighborhood institution — a place where Southern Nevadans experience authentic food, Japanese tradition, and genuine community.

Today I walked Spring Mountain Road with Kentucky Governor Governor Andy Beshear and yes, we ate our way through it.

But this was bigger than a foodie tour. Clark County’s Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan is transforming this three-mile pan-Asian corridor — new mid-block crosswalks, pedestrian safety infrastructure, storefront upgrades — because a walkable, connected Chinatown means small businesses survive and thrive.

We talked tariffs. We talked federal grants. We talked about what infrastructure actually looks like when you’re standing in the middle of it.

Las Vegas Chinatown is a world-class cultural and economic district. It deserves world-class investment.

Local law enforcement needs resources to help fight cybercrime 06/01/2026

Scams and fraud don't just impact individual victims, they hurt small businesses, and threaten the financial security of Nevada families. We must invest in the tools and resources needed to combat these growing threats. Great read highlighting this important issue.

Local law enforcement needs resources to help fight cybercrime After decades in law enforcement and public service, I've seen a lot of crimes evolve. But few threats have grown as fast or proven as difficult to combat as the wave of online scams and fraud now targeting Nevadans every single day.

We were honored to welcome State Senator Rochelle Nguyen, Nevada System of Higher Education Chancellor Matt McNair, Regent Heather Brown, Councilman Brian Knudsen, and Alexander Fuller for a visit to learn more about the vital role our practice plan, UNLV Health, plays as the clinical classroom for both medical students and residents.

Beyond education, they saw firsthand the exceptional care, compassion, and dedication our faculty clinicians bring to patients every day. Their commitment to serving our community while training the next generation of physicians is truly inspiring.

Grateful for today’s roundtable with Councilman Brian Knudsen, NSHE Regent Heather Brown, Chancellor Matt McNair, and the UNLV Health and Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV team. Thank you to Dean Alison Netski for leading such a great conversation — from UNLV Health’s Practice Plan to the real impact federal Medicaid changes could have on Nevada families.
