Tell Congress: Pass the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act 06/20/2026

Our veterans deserve a system that puts them first. That’s why I’m excited to advocate for the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act during this year’s Vets on the Hill in Washington, D.C.

This legislation has the potential to be one of the most significant reforms for veterans since the Post-9/11 GI Bill and the MISSION Act. It would improve access to care, benefits, and support while helping move the Veterans ACCESS Act and dozens of other veteran-focused bills closer to the finish line.

When we remove barriers and expand choice, veterans are empowered to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. Join us in supporting policies that honor the sacrifices of those who served and ensure they have the opportunities they have earned.

Veterans deserve a system that puts them first, not bureaucracy.

The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act:

✂️ Cuts unnecessary VA red tape

⚕️ Expands access to health care options

🔍 Increases accountability across government agencies

This legislation is designed to address long-standing challenges with permanent reforms, not temporary fixes. Our veterans have earned timely access to quality care and a system that puts their needs first so they can continue serving America.

The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act is a step toward making that happen.

AFP Director of Federal Government Affairs Kelly Merkel has a new op-ed in The Hill on how this legislation can better support our nation’s heroes and enable them to continue serving their communities.⬇️
