🚔 DUI BLITZ IN EFFECT ALL WEEKEND LONG 🚔
Consider this your warning. Officers across the valley will be actively looking for impaired drivers throughout the weekend. If you choose to drive under the influence, expect to be stopped and arrested.
Make a plan before the night starts:
• Use a rideshare
• Call a sober friend or family member
• Use a taxi or public transportation
• Stay where you are if you’ve been drinking
A DUI arrest is expensive, dangerous, and completely preventable. More importantly, impaired driving destroys lives in seconds.
Have fun. Celebrate responsibly. Plan ahead and get home safe.

The 100 Deadliest Days! 🚗
Today, LVMPD Traffic Captain Jarvis Dudley joined UMC and community partners to raise awareness about reducing teen driving fatalities during the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day, commonly known as the “100 Deadliest Days.”
Research shows that during this timeframe, which includes several busy summer holidays and long weekends, fatal crashes involving teen drivers increase significantly. Inexperience behind the wheel, speeding, and impairment remain some of the leading contributing factors. The goal of today’s event was to share ways we can turn the 100 Deadliest Days into the 100 Safest Days.
Parents can help by having open conversations with teen drivers, setting clear expectations, and modeling safe driving habits. Drivers of all ages can do their part by slowing down, staying focused, avoiding impairment, buckling up, and making safe choices behind the wheel.
Together, as a community, we can help reduce not only teen driving fatalities, but all traffic-related deaths on our roadways!

TRAFFIC FATALITY REPORT!
This week, our community lost three lives on our roadways.
Three individuals who left home expecting a normal day never made it back. Three families suddenly facing heartbreak that cannot be undone. These tragedies are a stark reminder that a single moment of reckless, impaired, distracted, or careless driving can take everything away.
Driving is a responsibility every time you get behind the wheel. Arrive alive. Stay alert, obey traffic laws, and make choices that protect everyone on the road.
