With the recent South Fork wildfires NDA has updated our ‘Wildfire Relief Resources.’ Below is a list of available donation locations, whether you are looking to donate hay and other supplies or have been impacted by the fires and are in the need of resources.
Looking to make a direct donation? Visit our website https://nda.nebraska.gov/disasterresources and check out our spreadsheet ‘Available and Requested Donations and Services.’ Here you will find a list of those in need of donations and those willing to donate. You can connect with these individuals one on one and make a direct donation today. If you are in need, you can view the ‘available donations’ tab and make a connection that way.

Participants from Cornhuskers Girls State, a week-long civic leadership program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, took time to visit with State of Nebraska Employees at the Fallbrook Office Location. Participating agencies included Nebraska Departments of Agriculture, Economic, and Water, Energy and Environment. Eastlyn Wright, Zachary Leech, Baylen Whitehead, Becky Rezac, and Natalia Bjorklund shared information about their positions and programs in Ag Promotion and Development, Food Safety and Consumer Protection, and Animal and Plant Health Protection. The opportunity provided the participants with a broad understanding of civic career paths that interact with, and impact citizens across our state. Nebraska Department of Economic Development

Nebraskans helping Nebraskans.
Gov. Jim Pillen, in partnership with NDOT and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, is launching the Nebraska Wildfire Hay Recovery Program as part of ongoing efforts to support ranchers impacted by historic wildfires. The program allows hay harvested from eligible state highway rights-of-way to be donated to ranchers and help them continue operations.
