Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not just a moment in history, it is an ongoing journey toward justice and belonging. The Asian Center honors the resilience, contributions, and history of Black communities. We know that standing together in solidarity will build a stronger community for us all.

In recognition of the holiday, the Asian Center will be closed on Friday, June 19th. We will join our partners at this Saturday, June 20th from 12-3pm at Trago Park for their annual Juneteenth celebration. Come join us!

Happy Juneteenth to all! πŸŽ‰

Camp Culture is more than a summer campβ€”it's a chance for children to explore the cultures, traditions, foods, music, and stories that make our community so vibrant.

A few weeks ago at Camp Culture 2026, campers learned from neighbors representing Karen, Armenian, Afghan, Sudanese, Mexican, and Native American cultures, building curiosity, friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the people around them.

Want to hear more about the impact of Camp Culture on kids, families, and our community? Check out the latest episode of the Cultural Tapestry podcast, featuring a conversation about this special week of learning and connection: https://bit.ly/CulturalTapestry

Shout out to our partners at Humanities Nebraska for their support in making Camp Culture possible! 😍

June reminds us that our community is made stronger by the many stories that shape it.

As we celebrate Pride Month and Immigrant Heritage Month, we honor our immigrant, refugee, and LGBTQ+ neighbors who help make Lincoln a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.

Belonging means being seen, respected, and valued for who you are. Together, we can continue building a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive!

Happy Pride Month and Immigrant Heritage Month from the Asian Center! πŸ’šπŸŒˆπŸŒ
