Depression is the most common condition associated with su***de, and it is often undiagnosed or untreated. Conditions like depression, anxiety, and substance problems, can increase risk for su***de. Other signs include:
• Taking dangerous risks such as driving extremely fast
• Displaying extreme mood swings
• Eating or sleeping more or less
• Using drugs or alcohol more often
• Withdrawing from friends, saying goodbye, or giving away important items
