We are extremely thrilled and proud of the work that the Douglas County Young Democrats leaders and members have accomplished together to build the largest chapter in Colorado!

Tonight, we could not be more excited that our Chair, Aidan Susser , won Young Democrat of The Year.

We are grateful for his ongoing commitment to build the Progressive movement in the U.S. and while we're sad to lose him, we know that he'll be in fantastic hands of our partners at and the !

What a night it was last night. Douglas County voters came out and said let’s stop this power grab. With almost a full 72% of votes saying no. The home rule charter failed here in Douglas County. Thank you to everyone that came out to vote and to everyone that helped with the stop the power grab initiative. This just shows us how important it is to vote. Please vote in every single election because your voice matters. Let’s stop the power grab.

Thank you to everyone who showed up for our No Other Land Screening and made the event a success!

Please RSVP for the showing of No Other Land this Sunday! This movie was produced by a collective of 4 Israeli and Palestinian activists and specifically focuses on the occupied West Bank. No Other Land won the Academy Award for best documentary film and has not been shown in Douglas County that we are aware of.

As Young Dems, we think it is important to engage with and discuss this subject of Israel-Palestine because this is a part of the political divide between younger generations and older generations - and we need to bridge this divide. This specific issue is making young people disillusioned with the Democratic Party.

We were able to get the big room at the Parker Library on April 20th, partially because it is Easter. If you are interested but unable to make it due to the holiday, please comment below so we can gauge interest. If there is enough interest, we will work with Jeeva to arrange another showing - maybe sometime in the summer.
