The Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Library provides a state-of-the-art learning environment for students and faculty at the University of Southern California. Leavey’s print and electronic collections, services, and technology are designed to facilitate coursework, studying, and research. Leavey’s technology-enhanced spaces support teaching and individual or group study—as well as film screenings, multimedia production and viewing, presentations, and videoconferencing.

Today, we bid a fond farewell to Christal Young. An alumna of USC (c/o 04✌️), Christal started as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Leavey in 2014 and since 2022, has served as Head of Leavey Library and Student Engagement. She supported the USC community with a bubbly personality and an energy that was unmatched! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Midterms are still in full force and if you find yourself in Leavey next Friday afternoon, stop by the Admin Suite (Room 114 across from the 1st floor printer room) for some super sweet treats! 🍬🍭🍫
Walk through the admin hallway to meet library staff and faculty, grab candy (while supplies last), check out some spooky book picks, and snap a picture at our photo booth.

Last week, we participated at the USC Latinx|e Heritage Month Noche de Cultura closing event. We had such a great time sharing just a snippet of the enormous impact and influence of Latinos in USC history, we barely got many pics! Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

The second week is almost wrapped up and the Trojan Welcome Experience is still going strong! Join us as we partner with for a Silent Disco on Friday, September 5th from 8pm-11pm on the Leavey patio!

La CASA, the Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures, and Leavey Library are teaming up to bring you a Dia de los Mu***os celebration like no other!
Date : Friday, Nov. 1st
TIme : 1:00-3:00pm
Location : La CASA Center located in STU 400

We don't call it Club Leavey for nothing! Leavey has partnered up with Late Night SC for a Silent Disco party this Friday, Sept 27th from 8pm-11pm! Join us on the Leavey patio for some tunes on 3 separate channels (headsets provided to the first 100 guests), refreshments, a separate parent lounge (TFW parents are welcome!), and some amazing videos of dance performances from our Music Library.
