We mourn the loss of LTC Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, 32, from Beit HaSh*ta, the commander of the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade, who fell during combat in southern Lebanon.

Despite living with a rare genetic disease and overcoming significant health challenges, she has been selected as Israel’s Official Match Ball Carrier for the FIFA World Cup in the United States.

On June 16, Ayala will walk onto the field at MetLife Stadium and present the match ball before France takes on Senegal.
