一個女人的一生，可以承載多少時代的重量？

1985年臺灣經典電影《 #我這樣過了一生》（Kuei-mei, A Woman）即將在洛杉磯郡圖書館 Asian Pacific Resource Center 放映！

由張毅執導、楊惠姍主演的《我這樣過了一生》，改編自蕭颯小說《 #霞飛之家》，透過女主角桂美的生命故事，帶觀眾走進戰後臺灣的家庭、婚姻與社會變遷。她一路面對離散、貧困、婚姻與家庭責任，在時代洪流中努力生活，也活出了令人動容的堅韌及溫柔🌹。

本次放映由洛杉磯郡圖書館Asian Pacific Resource Center與國華大戲院共同推出，並透過臺灣電影及視聽文化中心「臺灣電影工具箱」（Taiwan Film Toolkit）計畫，將臺灣經典電影帶到南加州社群。

🍿Join us this weekend for a special screening of the Taiwanese classic 𝓚𝓾𝓮𝓲-𝓶𝓮𝓲, 𝓐 𝓦𝓸𝓶𝓪𝓷.

Directed by Chang Yi and starring Yang Hui-shan, the film follows Kuei-mei’s journey through displacement, marriage, family responsibilities, and social change in postwar Taiwan. Through the story of one woman’s life, the film offers a moving portrait of resilience, tenderness, and the strength to keep going through difficult times.🌹

Presented by the Asian Pacific Resource Center at LA County Library and Kuo Hwa Theatre, this screening is made possible through the Taiwan Film Toolkit program by the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute. We warmly invite audiences to experience this powerful work of Taiwanese cinema.🎬

現居柏林的臺灣藝術家闕巧涵（Chiao-Han Chueh）獲選參與洛杉磯18th Street Arts Center 三個月駐村計畫，已於近日抵達藝術中心展開新生活。

駐村期間，她將持續發展以身體經驗、記憶與色彩為核心的新系列作品，並探索一種更貼近身體感知的繪畫語言。

想認識她的朋友，歡迎7/7傍晚到18街藝術中心參加Intersection交流工作坊！

關於藝術家：現居於柏林的臺灣藝術家闕巧涵，長期關注繪畫與生存經驗之間的關聯。她將身體視為一個由疾病經驗、直覺感知與社會結構共同形塑的場域，並透過繪畫作為「身體經驗」的研究方法，持續探索身體邊界與感知結構的重組方式。其作品曾於柏林、紐約與台北舉辦個展，並多次參與歐洲與美國的多項國際展覽與駐村計畫。

臺灣書院與路易莎藝文中心 Louisa Coffee USA 合作，於洛杉磯西好萊塢首間門市舉辦的開幕聯展《大母神之夢：蛻變、權力與智慧》，共展出3位藝術家作品，包括：

1️⃣阿美族藝術家魯碧・司瓦那Ruby Swana的創作《花露初》，從身體感知與自然經驗出發，使作品如生命般在空間中緩慢生成。

2️⃣臺灣藝術家盧芛以水墨繪畫為創作方法，展出作品包含屏風與捲軸形式，重新思考蛇、陰性與母性之間的文化關係。

3️⃣美國藝術家 Alexandra Carter 與 Heather Beardsley 透過染布與刺繡合作，探討女性身體與生育如何受到社會規訓。作品引用莉莉絲等神話中的女性角色，描繪其轉化為動植物混合形態的瞬間。

The inaugural group exhibition “The Great Mother’s Dream: Metamorphosis as Power and Wisdom” at Louisa Coffee’s first overseas space in Los Angeles include three artists' creation:

1️⃣Ruby Swana | Starting from bodily perception and natural experience, her creations allow works to slowly generate within the space like life itself.

2️⃣Lu Wei | Using ink wash painting as her creative method, Lu Wei exhibits works in the forms of screens and scrolls to rethink the cultural relationship among the serpent, femininity, and motherhood.

3️⃣Alexandra Carter & Heather Beardsley | Through a collaboration of fabric dyeing and embroidery, the duo explores how the female body and reproduction are subjected to social regulation.

The store is now officially open for business. You are welcome to visit anytime for a truly immersive sensory experience.
