Today was our last program day of the school year but not our last program at this school! The AP has already confirmed they want iMentor Global back for another year, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to continue serving these young people.
Today, the students shared what they learned throughout the program. Some of their responses included:• Being disciplined• Taking accountability• Understanding there’s a time and place to be serious• Staying true to yourself …just to name a few.
iMentor Global is a Social Emotional Learning program that provides a Safe Place to Clear Space while teaching D.I.S.C.I.P.L.I.N.E. to every participant we serve.
Because if we don’t first provide a safe place, they won’t be able to clear the space needed to heal, grow, and develop from the inside out.

Growing up in South Los Angeles, Rick McGregor knows firsthand the dangers our youth face and the courage and support needed to overcome adversity. He has coached football for 8 years in the inn
Because D.I.S.C.I.P.L.I.N.E. is a lifestyle, it’s important that our young men understand that selective discipline is not the key to success.
Through our D.I.S.C.I.P.L.I.N.E. acronym and structured syllabus, our goal is to move them from memorization to activation. We consistently drill the word, the concepts, and the understanding of discipline with the hope that it becomes a lasting part of their everyday lives.
At iMentor Global, we provide a safe place to clear space while simultaneously teaching life skills, building character, and strengthening the social-emotional growth of the next generation💪🏾
The conversation we had was sparked by a really good friend. Today we talked about PROXIMITY.
Proximity is nearness. Closeness. Access. Association. Environment.
Proximity is not just physical closeness. It is emotional closeness, mental closeness, spiritual closeness, and relational closeness. The goal of this conversation was to help our youth understand that the friends they surround themselves with, the people in their circle, and the family and company they keep truly matter. It can be the difference between success and failure.
Helping our young men understand that who they are connected to will ultimately influence who they become is critical. The wrong proximity can destroy purpose, while the right proximity can unlock potential, growth, healing, and opportunity.

Today we talked about RESPECT.
We’re raised to never let anyone disrespect us. We go hard making sure others respect us… while neglecting to respect ourselves.
But here’s the truth: self-respect has to be the priority.
When you respect yourself, you move different. You think different. You choose different.
We closed by challenging the fellas to express acts of self-respect.
