This Father’s Day, our staff and dedicated volunteers created a special shopping experience just for the dads we serve.

We rarely see many of our SFC dads because they work tirelessly to provide for their families. Their dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance inspire us, and we were honored to celebrate them meaningfully.

A heartfelt thank you to our faithful donors. Your generosity made this celebration possible and reminded these hardworking dads that their community sees them, values them, and appreciates all they do.

To all the fathers in our St. Francis Center family and beyond, we wish you a very Happy Father’s Day!

A heartfelt thank you to for sending such an incredible team to serve at St. Francis Center!

Your volunteers poured their hearts into every task, chopping potatoes and cucumbers and lifting boxes filled with fresh produce and meat to be distributed to families in need. And through it all, you served with joyful smiles, kindness, and compassionate spirits.

Because of your generosity and willingness to serve, our neighbors were reminded that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

A special shout-out to the students and staff from for making St. Francis Center a “must-do” stop during their week-long mission trip to Los Angeles.

These young men demonstrated a strong commitment to service, helping bring hope to low-income families through our pantry and food distribution programs. In addition to volunteering, they took part in an educational tour of our facilities to learn more about our mission and the impact of our work in the community.

Thank you for your dedication, compassion, and willingness to serve. We were honored to have you with us and grateful for the difference you made during your visit.

At St. Francis Center, volunteers are the heart of our mission, and Janette and her daughter Melanie are shining examples of what compassionate service looks like.

This faithful mother-daughter duo volunteer week after week, serving our unhoused breakfast guests with kindness, warmth, and genuine love. Whether they’re offering a warm meal, a smile, or a listening ear, they remind every person they meet that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Service is powerful. Sharing that commitment across generations is even more inspiring. Janette and Melanie beautifully demonstrate how love in action can strengthen a community and bring hope to others.

We are so grateful for our incredible volunteers!

Bishop Matthew Elshoff, OFM Cap., auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles responsible for the Our Lady of the Angels Pastoral Region, honored us with his presence recently.

As a Franciscan, Bishop Matt needed little explanation to immediately understand our mission: “to feed, serve, and walk with the poor as a community of hope in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.”

During his visit, he toured the facility, learned about our many programs and met with staff, volunteers, and guests. He offered a listening ear, words of encouragement, and a beautiful blessing to both our staff and the participants of Friday Senior Bingo.

Thank you, Bishop Matt! Please come back soon!
