I’m not awkward you are

When I shared this a few months ago, I didn’t tell you it was in The One Who Broke You Can’t Heal You. But now you know ❤️

You didn’t fight. You just stopped telling them things. First the small stuff. Then the hard stuff.

Then you realized you’d been editing yourself around them for so long you didn’t know what you actually wanted to say anymore.

They didn’t do anything wrong. That’s been the hardest part. No story to tell people. No villain. Just a slow quiet where there used to be a person who knew you.

You’re not a bad friend for outgrowing them. You’re a bad friend if you keep pretending you didn’t.

Some friendships end in conflict not because the conflict was too big but because the friendship was never built to hold it. 🤍
