World Cup is not anesthesia— it’s a platform for the world to speak and come together. Mexican President Sheinbaum and many countries continue to protest the U.S. as they play in the Cup. All while Trump play is in our front yard with the bad kids, picking on the good kids. Michelle Obama is the only Queen this county will ever need. DT can F-Off. #ᴡᴏʀʟᴅᴄᴜᴘ2026
Los Angeles claims 230k Iranians with neighborhoods known as Tehrangeles. LA has the largest population of Iranians outside of Iran and they showed out for today’s World Cup match between Iran and New Zealand! What a sight to see— the roaring cheers and proud faces each time their team scored (2-2) Iranians cannot go home, and that very notion made the game all the more meaningful. Iran came to them… there was a moment where an Iranian player gestured to the crowd to cheer and the stands exploded with joy… but it was the opening statement of the game that was the most profound— the school girls killed by Israeli bombs in a war started by an impossible president and his impossible allies… the hypocrisy of these games become a stage of protest. And yet, a place for the world to come together…
