The Karsh Center will be closed on Friday, June 19. Happy Juneteenth! Today is a celebration of liberation, marking the day that the Emancipation Proclamation reached enslaved people in Texas in 1865. As we celebrate, let us all take time to pause and reflect on the ways we can commit to racial justice in our daily lives and work.

School is ending for the summer, and we’re already preparing for what’s next ✏️🎒😎

Our annual backpack drive is now live, and our goal is to collect 300 NEW backpacks for children ages 4-17! Through July 2, we're accepting donations of new backpacks to help local students and their families head into the next school year prepared and supported. For some of our youngest community members, this will be their very first school experience! Your generosity can help students of all ages start the year with the confidence and excitement that a new backpack offers.

매년 진행하는 ‘백팩 기부 캠페인’이 시작되었습니다! 이번 캠페인의 목표는 4세에서 17세 사이의 아이들을 위한 새 백팩 300개를 모으는 것입니다. 7월 2일까지 지역 학생들과 가족들이 새 학년을 준비할 수 있도록 새 백팩 기부를 받고 있습니다. 특히 우리 커뮤니티의 어린 아이들에게는 이번이 첫 학교생활이 될 수도 있습니다! 여러분의 따뜻한 나눔은 모든 연령대의 학생들이 새 백팩과 함께 설렘과 자신감을 가지고 새 학년을 시작하는 데 큰 힘이 됩니다.

🍎 Another @feast_for_all FEAST nutritional education cycle complete! 9 participants spent 16 weeks learning cooking skills, exploring healthy recipes, and building community around food and wellness. 🍎 ¡Otro ciclo de educación nutricional de FEAST completado!

Nueve participantes dedicaron 16 semanas a desarrollar habilidades culinarias, explorar recetas saludables y fortalecer la comunidad en torno a la alimentación y el bienestar. A través de actividades prácticas de cocina y planificación de comidas, los participantes adquirieron herramientas útiles para nutrir a sus familias mientras fortalecían sus conexiones con la comunidad.

June is a time to celebrate love, authenticity, and the many ways people show up as themselves in our communities. Pride reminds us of the power of kindness, inclusion, and belonging — and of the importance of making space for all people to live openly and in community. Let's continue to work toward creating a world where everyone feels safe, valued, and welcomed for who they are.

6월은 사랑과 본연의 모습, 그리고 사람들이 우리 지역사회에서 저마다의 모습으로 당당히 살아가는 다양한 방식을 축하하는 시간입니다. 프라이드는 친절, 포용, 소속감의 힘과 더불어 모든 사람이 열린 마음으로 지역사회에서 함께 살아갈 수 있는 공간을 만드는 것이 얼마나 중요한지 일깨워줍니다. 모두가 있는 그대로의 모습으로 안전하고, 존중받으며, 환영받는 세상을 만들기 위해 앞으로도 함께 노력해 나갑시다.

💐 What a beautiful Celebración en Comunidad we shared together!

Last Sunday, our participating caregivers enjoyed delicious tortas, created stunning bouquets, participated in a wellness conversation, and moved their bodies in a Zumba session. The joy and connection in the room were truly special.

Huge gratitude to for providing childcare that allowed our participating caregivers to take a moment for themselves—because care for the caregiver matters just as much.

💐 ¡Qué hermosa Celebración en Comunidad compartimos juntos!

El domingo pasado, nuestros cuidadores participantes disfrutaron de deliciosas tortas, crearon impresionantes ramos de flores, participaron en una charla sobre bienestar y pusieron sus cuerpos en movimiento en una sesión de Zumba. La alegría y la conexión que se respiraban en el ambiente fueron verdaderamente especiales.

Un inmenso agradecimiento a My First Steps por brindar el servicio de cuidado infantil que permitió a nuestros cuidadores participantes tomarse un momento para sí mismos, porque el cuidado del cuidador es igual de importante.

Gracias a nuestros colaboradores —FEAST, KYCC y YMCA—, quienes compartieron recursos para nuestros miembros, y a todos los demás que hicieron posible esta celebración de la comunidad. 🌸

지난 일요일, 참여한 보호자분들은 맛있는 케이크를 즐기고, 멋진 꽃다발을 만들고, 웰빙에 관한 강연에 참여했으며, 줌바 세션으로 몸을 움직이는 시간을 가졌습니다. 현장에 가득했던 기쁨과 연결감은 정말 특별했습니다.

참여한 보호자분들이 자신을 위한 시간을 가질 수 있도록 아동 돌봄 서비스를 제공해 주신 My First Steps에 진심으로 감사드립니다. 보호자를 돌보는 일 또한 매우 중요하기 때문입니다.

또한 FEAST, KYCC, YMCA를 비롯해 우리 회원들을 위해 다양한 자원을 공유해 주신 협력기관 여러분과, 이번 공동체 축하 행사를 가능하게 해 주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다. 🌸

Today the Karsh Center is closed for Memorial Day. We honor and remember the people who have lost their lives in military service. We also honor and thank those currently serving our country and the families who stand behind them.
