We had a wonderful time at Freeman Poole Senior Center honoring the leadership and service of our local law enforcement officers at our commemorative brunch! We enjoyed a fantastic presentation by Cobb County Sheriff Craig Owens, delicious food, and plenty of dancing.

We rolled up our sleeves at the Senior Wellness Center for a hands-on sourdough bread class with Breaking Bread & Company! We mixed, shaped, and went home with our own ready-to-bake dough and organic starter to keep the baking going at home.

Some celebrations are meant to be heard, and yesterday's could definitely be heard throughout North Cobb Senior Center!

Yesterday, we gathered for our Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom filled with music, movement, and reflection. We enjoyed a lively performance from our Get Fit with Angela class, an inspiring poetry reading by Judith Jones, meaningful remarks from Reverend Dr. Frank Johnson, and great music from DJ Tiffany Downs that kept everyone on their feet. Lunch from Café Social House was the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful afternoon.

Who knew such a tiny plant could be so much fun? Grandparents and their grandkids got together at West Cobb Senior Center to decorate their own pot and plant a baby spider plant. Thanks to everyone for coming out to dig in the dirt with us!

The Dynamic Downsizing: The Art of Decluttering and Organizing program originally scheduled for tonight at Tim D. Lee Senior Center is cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather.

We shifted into high gear for our Corvette Car Show at Freeman Poole Senior Center! The lot was packed with incredible vintage beauties and sleek modern speedsters, making it a fantastic day to celebrate this iconic American sports car.

We paired up with Chattahoochee Tech for one-on-one technology help at the Austell Senior Center. They walked us through our devices and answered our questions, helping us feel more confident with our tech.

Bladder and bowel issues are common, but you can take control of your health. Mind over Matter: Healthy Bowels, Healthy Bladder is a free workshop designed to give women practical tools, simple exercises, and dietary changes to manage and prevent leakage symptoms.

The workshop consists of three two-hour sessions meeting every other week on Wednesday, July 15, July 29, and August 12 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Sessions take place at the Senior Wellness Center, located at 1150 Powder Springs Street in Marietta. The program is free but space is limited and registration is required.
