It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own. On June 3, 2026, Antoinette Roberts passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Antoinette served as our volunteer Social Media Manager for the past year, and in that short time she transformed every one of our platforms. Her talent, creativity, and professionalism elevated our marketing presence far beyond the standard and brought new visibility to our mission like never before.
Her calm demeanor, gentle spirit, and soothing smile brightened our days and strengthened our team. Though she was not a Veteran herself, her dedication to supporting Veterans was unwavering. She worked tirelessly to ensure our message reached those who needed us most—honoring her husband Lamont’s service and the service of all Veterans and their families.
Thank you, Antoinette, for the impact you made on this organization and the lives we serve.
We will miss you deeply.

Today, we pause to remember.
Memorial Day is not just the unofficial start of summer.
It is a sacred day of remembrance.
Today, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.
At Henry County Veterans Support Group, we stand in gratitude for those who gave everything and for the families who continue to carry their legacy.
Freedom has never been free.
As we gather with family and friends today, may we take a moment to reflect, remember, and honor the heroes who gave their all for this country.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🇺🇸 WE’RE REOPENING 🇺🇸
The Henry County Veterans Support Group will officially reopen on June 1, 2026, and we are excited to continue serving the veterans and families of our community.
Before reopening, we are asking for volunteers to help us prepare the facility on Tuesday, May 26th. We’ll be cleaning, organizing, dusting, refreshing the food pantry, and getting the building ready to welcome everyone back.
This organization has always been powered by people who believe in service, community, and taking care of those who served us first.
If you are available and willing to lend a hand, your support would be greatly appreciated.

Every community has a tradition that brings people together.
In , the has been doing that for generations.
What started in 1977 as a small arts and crafts festival with only a handful of vendors has grown into one of Henry County’s most recognized community events — bringing together families, local businesses, nonprofits, veterans, and neighbors from all walks of life.
Today, the Henry County Veterans Support Group is proud to be part of that tradition.
As you walk the square this weekend, remember:
Community matters. Connection matters. Service matters.
We invite you to stop by, say hello, learn more about the work VSG is doing for veterans and families in our community, and meet some of the people who continue serving long after the uniform comes off.
Because supporting veterans is not a one-day conversation.
It’s a community responsibility.
Stop by our table and say hello
