Born in Texas, Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in our state. We honor that history and continue the work toward justice and equality.

Here in Texas, we recognize the flag as a symbol of the freedoms we share, and the responsibility we carry to protect them for everyone.

We remember the courage and sacrifice of those who served on D-Day, a pivotal moment in history that helped secure freedom around the world.
