We are thrilled to introduce Diane Escandón as the new Principal of Cecil D. Andrus Elementary School!

Mrs. Escandón has dedicated 34 years to education, including 32 years in West Ada. She currently serves as the Dean of Student Achievement (DOSA) at Spalding STEM Academy and Paramount Elementary. Previously, she held the role of Administrative Intern Principal at Andrus Elementary and Spalding Elementary.
With a family raised in West Ada, we are excited for the experience, passion and leadership Mrs. Escandón will bring to the Andrus community in the 2026-2027 school year.

The Idaho Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by West Ada in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. This award offers educational advancement, college credit, and workplace advancement opportunities.
