On Saturday, July 4, City Lake Aquatic Center, Vanston Pool, and Town East Pool will be open from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. for an afternoon of swimming, patriotic fun, and special admission pricing of $2.50 per person.

In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, Westlake Sports Center and all recreation centers will be closed Friday, June 19. Those looking to enjoy the holiday can make a splash at a pool, or spend the day on the course at Mesquite Golf Club. Please review the graphic below for facility hours.

City Lake Aquatic Center has reached venue capacity for Dive-In Movie and is no longer admitting guests.

Those unable to attend tonight are encouraged to join the next Summer Movies in the Park event, Luau at the Lake, on Friday, July 10 at City Lake Aquatic Center. The event will feature swimming, games, a Lilo and Stitch meet-and-greet, and a screening of Lilo & Stitch at dusk.

Who's ready for Dive-In Movie tonight? 🏊‍♀️🎬

Come enjoy an evening of family fun on Friday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. at City Lake Aquatic Center, 200 Parkview St. Capacity is limited to 500 guests, so early arrival is encouraged. Please see the parking map below. Guests should expect lines at entry. Event gates open at 6:45 p.m. Be sure to review the previous post for Know Before You Go information.

While at the event, take a guess at Marlin's Fish Egg Count for a chance to win a prize, play co****le, slide down the water slide, purchase concessions, and get a free temporary tattoo. Don't forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair for a poolside screening of Finding Nemo at dusk.

🌺 After Dive-In Movie, the Summer Movies in the Park series continues with Luau at the Lake on Friday, July 10 at City Lake Aquatic Center!

Enjoy an evening of swimming, limbo, free lei necklaces while supplies last, concessions for purchase, and a special meet-and-greet with Lilo and Stitch from 8:00–9:00 p.m. The movie Lilo & Stitch will begin at dusk. 🌊

Admission:
• Ages 2 and under: Free
• Residents: $2
• Non-residents: $4

Before heading to City Lake Aquatic Center, review the following event information:

• Parking is available at the locations shown on the parking map.
• Event gates open at 6:45 p.m.
• Event fees: Ages 2 and under: Free, Residents: $2, Non-residents: $4
• Early arrival is encouraged. Capacity is limited to the first 500 attendees, and lines are expected.
• Free toys will be available while supplies last.
• Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy Finding Nemo at dusk.
• Stop by the information booth to guess Marlin's Fish Egg Count. The winner will be announced at 8:30 p.m.
• Concessions will be available for purchase.

For the 36th consecutive year, the City of Mesquite has been recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to urban forestry and environmental stewardship.

Heads up: City Lake Aquatic Center will be closed to the public on Friday, June 12 and Friday, July 10 due to special events. Dive-In Movie will be held on June 12, followed by Luau at the Lake on July 10. Event gates will open at 6:45 p.m. on both dates.
