This past Saturday, the Miami-Dade Black Affairs Advisory Board proudly hosted our Annual Community Pillars Awards, celebrating outstanding leaders whose dedication, service, and impact continue to strengthen our community.
We were also honored to recognize our Young Pillars Scholarship recipients as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their educational journeys. Your achievements inspire us, and we look forward to seeing all that you accomplish.
Thank you to our honorees, scholarship recipients, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. Your presence and commitment to uplifting our community are what make this celebration so meaningful.
Congratulations again to all of our 2026 Community Pillars and Young Pillars. Together, we continue building a stronger future for Miami-Dade County.

“Real conversations. Real concerns. Real solutions. ✊🏾
Community leaders, activists, and residents gathered for an impactful town hall on the State of Black Miami, hosted by the Miami-Dade Black Affairs Advisory Board. The discussion highlighted issues surrounding political representation, hiring practices, and the impact of Florida’s new anti-DEI legislation on our communities.
These conversations are necessary as we continue pushing for equity, opportunity, and progress throughout Miami-Dade County. Leadership SouthFlorida”
