On Father’s Day, GA honors all the fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors who show up with love, guidance, and strength for our youth and families.
We also hold space for those for whom this day is complicated, whether because of loss, distance, or painful memories. Your feelings matter.
We believe that healthy fatherhood and positive male role models are powerful forces for healing, stability, and hope. Through mentoring, family strengthening, and community programs, Gang Alternative walks beside men as they build character that lasts, one day at a time.

June is Men’s Health Month — a time to pause, check in, and remind the men and boys in our lives that their physical and emotional health matter. Too often, men are expected to “be strong” by staying silent.
At Gang Alternative, Inc., we believe real strength includes asking for help, talking about stress, and building healthy habits together. Through mentoring, behavioral health support, family programs, and workforce services, we walk alongside men and young men as they navigate pressure, trauma, and hope.
This month, we are encouraging checkups, conversations, and community. Healing is not a solo journey.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the strength, hope, and endurance of Black communities. It is both a celebration of freedom and a call to continue addressing racial injustice and its lasting impact.
At Gang Alternative, Inc., we believe freedom includes emotional wellness, safety, and opportunity. Through our mentoring and youth programs, family strengthening, workforce development, violence prevention, behavioral health support, and trauma-informed initiatives like CAATS, we walk alongside youth and families as they heal, grow, and lead.
As we honor Juneteenth, we recommit to building character that lasts and creating spaces where every person is seen, valued, and supported. Freedom is work we do together, every day, in our South Florida communities.

This week at our summer camp for middle and high school BLOC students, our youth stepped into the vibrant world of Brazilian arts, experiencing music, dance and Capoeira Solarte.
Through traditions rooted in Solar do Unhão, they explored Afro Brazilian rhythms, orixá inspired movement, samba and live percussion. Our youth even learned to play the berimbau and other instruments as they built confidence, creativity and global awareness.

The BLOC program gathered to celebrate our incredible seniors in an unforgettable Senior Night. We aren’t just celebrating a graduation; we’re celebrating their character, their wins, and the bright futures ahead.
In BLOC, these seniors didn’t just show up—they stepped up. They traded "I can’t" for "I will" and turned leadership from a simple word into a daily way of life. They’ve proven that character isn't built in a day, but it is built every day.
Class of 2026, look at how far you’ve come. The curriculum may be finished, but your mission is just beginning. Now, go out there and build your legacy!
