SUPER IMPORTANT! 🌹

On Thursday, June 25th, City of Miami will be having a Commission Meeting. They will be discussing Miamis involvement with the 287g agreement. This program, 287g allows state and local law enforcement (like our very FIUPD) to act as ICE agents.

It is CRUCIAL that we show up to this meeting and use public comment to voice our concerns about this agreement. If you can, please show up and sign up to speak. Lines get long, so show up early to sign up.

This City of Miami Commission meetings take place at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall - 3500 Pan American Drive.

Ready to read? This is going to be the last reading group for this month's Socialist Night School series! Join us Friday, June 19 in room PC 424 as we explore Sherry Wolf's 'Sexuality and Socialism', and learn about q***r liberation and its relation to socialism! We'll be having a pizza party once more to celebrate the end of our reading 🫶 🍕

These classes will be held in person, but hybrid options will be available via Zoom for those who wish to attend but cant make it physically. As always, DM us for the Zoom link!

At the end of the month, we'll have a potluck movie night to conclude our pride celebrations. Have any suggestions of q***r themed movies that you'd like to watch? Let us know!

🌹This week we'll have a special guest! .in will join us to provide our attendees with FREE rapid HIV testing! Those who get tested will also receive free goodiebags with plenty of treats! They'll only be here from 5:30-7:15, so show up early for free testing and goodies!🌹

YDSA's annual convention is only a couple months away, and we need your help! 🌹

YDSA @ FIU will be sending 7 delegates to Chicago for convention at the end of July! Nominations for this role have opened, and elections will occur on the week of May 28, so please DM us if you are interested in learning more about becoming a convention delegate.
