Happy Father's Day and first day of summer!
Thank you to the fathers who teach tradition at the Shabbat table, who model leadership in community, who share Jewish values with the next generation, and make summer memories infused with Jewish joy.

This Shabbat, Jewish Federations recognize Juneteenth and recommit to the sacred work of pursuing justice and freedom for all. The Jewish value of "tzedek, tzedek tirdof" (justice, justice you shall pursue) calls on us to build communities rooted in equity, dignity, and justice for everyone. Shabbat Shalom!

"If you see what needs to be repaired and know how to repair it, then you have found a piece of the world that God has left you to perfect. "
- Menachem Mendel Schneerson
"What I think people don't understand is that this wasn't a car that hit a building. This was a person who had tried to figure out how to kill the most people in a way that would do the most harm to the Jewish community."
- Rabbi Jen Lader

This Shabbat, we remember Anne Frank who was born on this day in 1929. She was just 15 when she was murdered in the Holocaust.
Her diary remains one of the most powerful accounts of what Jewish families endured and has helped generations understand the loss of six million Jewish lives.
Today, and every day, honor her memory by providing Holocaust survivors with the dignity and care they deserve.
Shabbat Shalom
