It only takes a matter of seconds for drowning to occur. When around water, children must always be under direct supervision.
Stay vigilant. Assign a “Water Watcher” and rotate every 20-30 minutes to make sure there is always an eye on the water.
Download our Water Watcher tag and learn more at rivcowatersafety.org.

Even on cool days, car temperatures can rise up to 20 degrees in just 10 minutes. Children should never be left unattended in a car, and a quick check can ensure that a preventable tragedy doesn’t occur.
Park: Once stopped, remember it is never safe to leave a child alone in the car, even with windows rolled down.
Check: Accidents can happen. Always look in your backseat before exiting your car.
Lock: Make sure car doors are locked and that children cannot access a potentially hot car while playing.
