We wanted to let our neighbors know about a summer meal initiative which started last week. Gaston county schools want to make sure that children who rely on school lunches don’t go hungry during the summer.

All children ages 18 and younger are eligible to receive a free meal at one of about 50 sites across Gaston county, regardless of where they live or attend school.

Join me for a day of movement, music, and making a difference!

I’m excited to host a high-energy DanceFit class for ages 5-18. This class combines dance-inspired cardio, upbeat music, and lots of fun.

NO dance experience required! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just love to move, this class is for you.

This event will support two causes that are close to my heart:

❤️ Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

🥜 Peanut butter donations will support local food insecurity efforts through Threads of Hope and the Mount Holly CRO.

Today, Memorial Day, we honor our fallen soldiers. The CRO will be closed for the holiday.

We had a great time at the Piedmont Arts and Cultural Experience this past weekend! We had food-themed coloring posters which participants filled in and put up on display, along with help from some local artists. Many thanks to the volunteers and everyone who got involved!

Tomorrow may be the easiest day ever to give to the CRO! It’s the USPS “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive. Just put your donation items by your mailbox and USPS will pick it up for your local food pantry!

A Mount Holly Middle School student made the artwork on these bags, and members of his class filled them with donations for our neighbors in need. We are blown away by this young person’s creativity and generous spirit. Talk about using your talents for service!
