Congratulations to our nominees for this year’s midterm — Cait Conley for Congress NY17; Patrick Carroll for NYS Assembly for re-election to the State Assembly District 96; and Joe Rand, who won the WFP line and will now appear on both the Democratic and WFP lines for State Senate District 38.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures. I was fortunate to spend today at a Rockland Boulders Game with my boys.

I am sad to have missed the Pride parade this year, due to fulfilling my obligation of leading the service at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockland. Fortunately I was able to stop by later in the day with my boys. I am a proud ally and am grateful to the Rockland Pride Center for their amazing work. I thank them and the Village of Nyack for hosting this important event and day.

Beautiful day at the New City Street Fair! Despite the blistering heat, it was great to see so many out enjoying our community. Thank you and congratulations to the New City Chamber of Commerce on another fantastic street fair.

Sunday was a beautiful day for the Nanuet Street Fair! It’s always great to see so many Clarkstown residents out — and to see visitors come to our town to partake in these great events. Thank you and congratulations to the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce on an amazing day.

I had a fantastic time at last night’s People to People “Down the Shore” Fundraiser. People to People does incredible and important work feeding tens of thousands of people living right here in Rockland. Special congratulations to Diane Serratore, upon her retirement as CEO after 18 years serving our community. Thank you for your fierce dedication to our neighbors.
