Today, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office wishes a very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures who make a difference every day.
We celebrate fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, foster fathers, adoptive fathers, mentors, all those who provide guidance, strength, and unconditional love. We remember and honor our fathers who are no longer with us.
Let us appreciate the fathers, first responders who are spending today away from their families while serving and protecting our communities.
From all of us at the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, we wish everyone a safe, peaceful, and Happy Father’s Day.

Today, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office joins communities across our nation in recognizing Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.
Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, the day federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that all enslaved people were freed—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. This day stands as an important reminder of our nation’s history, the ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality, and the resilience of those who endured injustice.
As we commemorate Juneteenth, we honor the significance of this historic day and reaffirm our commitment to serving every member of our community with fairness, dignity, respect, and integrity.

One of the highlights of the evening was our accelerant detection K9 Lloyd taking the field and racing in for the ceremonial first pitch, bringing smiles and excitement to fans of all ages.
It was an honor to recognize the dedication, sacrifice, and service of our firefighters while sharing the spotlight with one of our four-legged heroes. Thank you to the New York Boulders for hosting such a great community event and for showing appreciation to those who serve.
