Announcement: Dzongkha Classes for Bhutanese Children

The Consulate General of Bhutan in New York has been providing online and in-person Dzongkha classes for Bhutanese children of Bhutanese families residing in the United States (New York and California) and Canada.

For those interested to attend the Dzongkha classes, the following is a schedule of the online and in-person classes offered:

Online Classes Schedule:
New York:
• Tuesday – Level I: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Wednesday – Level II: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Thursday – Level III: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Canada:
• Friday – 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (New York time)

California:
• Monday – 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (New York time)
In-Person Classes (New York Only – Saturday):
• Level I A: 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM
• Level I B: 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM
• Level II: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
• Level III: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

On the joyous occasion of the 6th Birth Anniversary of His Royal Highness Gyalsey Ugyen Wangchuck, the officers and staff of the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations in New York offer our sincere prayers for the continued good health, long life and happiness of His Royal Highness.

H.E. Ambassador Tenzin Rondel Wangchuk joined the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations in New York this morning as the Permanent Representative in a traditional tendrel ceremony. Members of the Bhutanese community in the United States, Bhutanese working in the United Nations, and the Mission staff offered Trashi Khadars and extended their best wishes for a successful and fruitful tenure.

The Department of Immigration is pleased to share that the Automated Immigration Clearance System is now available at Paro International Airport, enhancing convenience for all passengers.
