Today, we pause to celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, godfathers, father figures, mentors, and caregivers who have helped shape our families, communities, and future generations.
At Fort Greene Council, we are honored to serve so many remarkable men whose wisdom, strength, humor, resilience, and unconditional love continue to inspire us every day. Whether they are sharing life lessons, lending a helping hand, telling stories from years gone by, or simply being a steady presence in the lives of those they love, fathers leave an impact that lasts a lifetime.
To all the dads and father figures in our FGC family and throughout Brooklyn, thank you for your sacrifices, guidance, and dedication. Your legacy lives on through the lives you have touched and the communities you have helped build.
Wishing you a day filled with love, appreciation, and cherished moments with family and friends.
Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Fort Greene Council! 💙

🎓✨ Yesterday was as joyous as it was bittersweet as we celebrated the graduation of our Young Minds Day Care Pre-K Class! ✨🎓
Our young scholars arrived dressed in their very best, ready to be showered with love, praise, and support from their families, teachers, and the entire YMDC community.
While it’s hard to say goodbye to these bright young minds, our hearts are filled with pride as we watch them take the next big step on their educational journey. From learning their ABCs and 123s to building friendships, confidence, and curiosity, they have accomplished so much, and this is only the beginning!
Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will achieve as you transition into kindergarten and beyond. 🌟📚🍎
A special thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff, and families whose unwavering support helped make this milestone possible.

🧡💙 The New York Knickerbockers in FIVE!!! 💙🧡
Did you really think the Pride of Brooklyn would be left out of the celebration?
Our members, many of them lifelong Knicks fans, have been waiting decades for this moment. Since 1973, they’ve been hoping to see the championship return home, and they proudly rode with the team every step of the way throughout this incredible season.
So, of course, we had to capture some of that excitement! Check out this special video featuring our members proudly rocking their blue and orange in solidarity with Knicks fans across New York State.
Congratulations, New York! We did it! 🏆🗽
Enjoy the video, and let’s hear it for the champions! 🧡💙

🇺🇸✨ History, Fitness, and Powerful Stories All in One Day! ✨🇺🇸
Yesterday, the members of our Grace Agard-Harewood Older Adult Club embarked on an unforgettable adventure to The Battery, Liberty Island, and Ellis Island!
This incredible trip was the perfect blend of education, exploration, and exercise as our members got their steps in while learning about the vital role immigration played in shaping our nation. For many, the experience was especially meaningful. Several of our members are first-generation Americans and shared their own family immigration stories, finding connections to the hopes, dreams, and challenges faced by those who passed through Ellis Island generations ago.
While much has changed over the years, one thing remains true: people come seeking opportunity, a better future for their families, and the chance to contribute to the rich tapestry that makes this country so unique.
Please enjoy these highlights from a truly special day! ❤️
