Each week, our meals & wellness team opens up the GMHC cafeteria doors to over 6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ clients who are able to enjoy hot, nutritious meals made by our dedicated staff.
This Pride Month, Macy's is one of the many companies stepping up to care for the LGBTQ+ community. We chatted with a few of their employees to reflect on their time volunteering with us and what Pride means to them. 🏳️🌈

From the streets of NYC to the frontlines of health equity, our history is built on radical joy and resilience. Experience it in this powerful June 1989 footage from our The New York Public Library archives.
Pride has always been more than a parade—it’s a daily promise to keep fighting for each other. Happy Pride! 🌈🏳️⚧️♥️
Like many within our community, the power of chosen family is the fuel that moves us forward to survive and thrive. Q***r bars and clubs are safe havens where our community can gather, convene, and live freely without judgment. This is why we must continue to fight for community.
Today marks the 10-year anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting, where 49 lives were brutally taken at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, FL. No matter how you’re showing up today, take a moment to honor and say the names of the victims of this targeted tragedy. There is no place for violence in our q***r safe spaces and we are dedicated to creating spaces for our community that are respectful and inclusive.
Happy Pride from the icon herself, ❤️
And remember, do it for the G**S 🌈❤️👀
June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness day. A day to recognize the strength of those who have lived with HIV for decades and what it means to age with HIV today.
At yesterdays GMHC & ACRIA’S Aging & HIV Conference, “I’m Still Standing,” long-term survivors, advocates, and providers came together to share knowledge, build community, and shape the future of aging with HIV.
Today, and every day, we celebrate the people whose resilience, advocacy, and lived experiences continue to move this work forward. ♥️

In early 2027, GMHC will open a brand new clinic for primary and dental care. One roof, one location for medical care, dental care, and community support.
We’re still here because the fight is not over. GMHC will keep showing up 💪
We invite you to join us in celebrating q***r joy all month long and beyond. With you, we can reach even more people who need us most.
HAPPY PRIDE! ✨🏳️🌈

At our Project Transcend Self-Care Summit, host Tiffany Munroe reflected on the profound impact trans advocate Kiara St. James had on so many lives. Today, we share her words to honor Kiara’s legacy and celebrate the love, strength, and community she leaves behind. 💐 Rest in Power, Kiara. 💐
Kiara was a tireless advocate for the transgender community. Throughout her life and work, she fought relentlessly for the dignity, visibility, safety, and rights of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, particularly within Black and Brown communities. Her leadership, courage, and compassion helped shape and strengthen countless lives and community initiatives across New York City and beyond.
She was one of the founders of the New York Transgender Advocacy Group (NYTAG)
